Do I need a visa to enter Nigeria? 

Yes, most travelers need a visa. You must apply in advance through a Nigerian embassy or consulate. Some nationalities can apply for an e-visa or visa on arrival, but check requirements early. No. The Igba Nkwu or Traditional wedding will be held in Owerri, Imo Nigeria on December 28th 2025. 

The white wedding will be held in Lagos, Nigeria on January 3rd 2026 . Most international flights fly into Lagos, Nigeria. You can travel to Imo from Lagos on a short 30 minute domestic flight via AirPeace, Ibom Air, Arik Air, or Dana Air. We recommend getting this ticket around September.

  • Credit cards are accepted at hotels and major restaurants but always carry cash as backup. 
  • Taxis: Use ride apps like Bolt or Uber in big cities — safer than hailing random taxis.
  • Traffic: Lagos is notorious for very heavy traffic, so plan ahead.

Yes, but get a local SIM card (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile) for cheap data and calls. Make sure your phone is unlocked before travel.
